Summary: We enjoyed the cabin very much. It is even nicer than the photos. The living room is very large and the enclosed porch at the back is a wonderful addition. The bathroom and bedrooms are large and the kitchen is well equipped. The view and back deck are spectacular. It’s is very close to the ferry terminal and a few times a day the ferries idle while they load and unload, which can be noisy. The rest of the time is absolutely serene. The yard is high up off the shore (hence the stunning view!) and to access the beach/shore, there are several flights of stairs that end with a final set that are winched up and down. We ended up blocking the access to those with a lawn chair as our dog kept trying to get to the beach. It is a lovely property and the owners were responsive easy to reach. Mayne is a great island which we will visit again. As others have noted, the Japanese gardens are a hidden gem.
