Positive: Wonderful quiet coastal location with incredible sunrises and dark skies for stargazing, daily sea swims and a wide range walks from the doorstep, plus an extensive network of quiet country roads for exploring by bike. Our hosts generously provided a delicious cake on arrival and we were delighted to receive a basket of homegrown veg and eggs too. So thoughtful. The village shop 2km away does superb savoury and sweet bakes, cakes and fab takeaways (fish and chips, curry, pizza) several evenings a week. The lodge is characterful, cosy and comfortable, a really unusual place to stay. Be prepared for the spiral staircase - you'll be fitter by the time you leave! 😁
