Summary: This was our first time in Mentone and we will definitely be back. The cabin is decorated and equipped perfectly! When you first walk in all of your senses are pleased, the cabin smelled wonderful, your eyes are drawn to the beautiful hardwood floors, the comfy leather couch and the magnificent apron sink in the kitchen. The décor was perfect, it felt homey and cozy; you instantly want to curl up on the sofa and start reading a book. There were little touches throughout that made it even better, like the robes, the games, even the hand soap in the bathroom. Speaking of bathroom, the shower was awesome with the rain shower head and the detachable wand plus the heated fan. Our first night we had a pizza from Mentone Market around a campfire in the backyard. While sitting around the fire we counted 15 deer that walked from the neighbor's on the left through our yard to the neighbor on the right's yard. Right in front of the fire! We ended every night at the campfire and watched the deer for hours playing and eating in the neighbor's yard. We woke up every morning with a beautiful view from the loft upstairs looking down over the pond at the bottom of the ridge. You are centrally located to all the sites of Mentone and Fort Payne. We loved the hot tub and the ambiance of the chandelier and lights around the hot tub. I cannot say enough about how perfect this cabin is for a couple's getaway. Nathan is a great host, very responsive and great recs for dinner and things to do.
