Positive: The location of Le Defi is on the outskirts of Fouras, but only a 5 minute drive to the beaches and sights and a 15 minute walk to L'Esperance beach and 2-3 minutes to the excellent local Super U supermarket. The apartment is on the second floor and was light, airy and very spacious with a huge bathroom and power shower. Anna our host met us on arrival and was super helpful with directions and restaurant options. She could not have been more helpful.
Negative: Nothing really, but some people may not like the outside staircase to the apartment. It was not an issue for us and we really appreciated the huge outside parking space.
Summary: A light, airy and spacious apartment in the heart of the Vendee suitable for families.
