Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Location was quiet and beautiful. Not to far from the from hiking but a little ways from Logan
Negative: The ceilings in the cabin get quite low in spots. If you are over 6 feet 2 inches you will have a hard time. The bed downstairs was in a “v” shape. The next day we looked at it and the leg in the middle of the bed is broken. They had boards but in the wrong spot. We fixed the boards and it was more comfortable . The stairs at the top are very steep and there is no hand rail. The carpet had a curl and we kept tripping. The oven glass door was damaged. The bottom of the glass was flopping when you opened it….so we didn’t use it. The furnace in the first floor bedroom would not stay lit. On our last night it got down to 39 outside and that room was chilly. It did have a potbelly stove but we didn’t go outside to get wood to lit it. A lot of our issues could be fixed by the owner at a reasonable cost. We left a note and hopefully they do something about them.
Summary: The cabin is by no means fancy and there were some issues, but we liked the location and the quiet.
