Summary: Looking at the pictures, this house ostensibly has everything going for it; great location in Sebastopol, open plan layout, hot tub and sauna, great views. The problem is that things look good on the surface but there are several problems with the house and property management not so far below the surface. The refrigerator leaks and flooring in kitchen is popping up, toilet in hall bathroom has broken seal and is leaking, occupancy is supposed to be up to six people but there are not enough dishes and especially silverware for 6 people, the light switches are impossible to figure out and the stairs down to the hot tub are treacherous at night if you can't find the switch. Sauna lacked instructions for how to start. We had to google it to figure out how it worked. There was dirt / sand swirling around in bottom of hot tub. There was a dirty comforter sitting on the floor of the hall closet and we used blankets from our car rather than use that one. The other house on the property which I don't recall being mentioned in the ad is VERY close and has 3-4 cars parked in front of it. Vacasa's customer service started out being very responsive but after leaving something at the house and having them respond on 3 separate occasions that they would "check with local staff" I never got a response and assume one of the cleaning staff took it. After this experience, I will never again rent a house managed by Vacasa.
