Positive: The Yamaguchi house was absolutely beautiful! The natural hot spring gave us the opportunity to enjoy some down time while being at the house and relaxing. We had the private chef, Ryota, and his staff were absolutely wonderful. We had a great time interacting with them and the food was absolutely delicious. Well worth the price and would definitely recommend trying the private chef option if available! We left something behind and the owner quickly contacted us and then was able to meet up with us to give back the item but also offered to mail it to us. The only downside was the shower. Because it was rainy and cold and the only shower is outside, no one in our group wanted to shower because it was uncomfortable. We would definitely stay here again. Wonderful hospitality in a beautiful house in a beautiful location! The bus in Hakone essentially brings you straight to the home.
