Summary: The hotel is in a great location for sightseeing in Porto - out of the way enough to be fairly quiet but within a short walk of many of the key sights and the waterfront. It is also on the right side of town to take a trip to the beach. The room was large and exactly as per the photos, the bed was comfy and the furniture and fridge / included minibar items were nice touches. Communication from the owners/concierge via WhatsApp was excellent, including many recommendations for places to eat and asking our cleaning preferences each day. We stayed for 4 nights and would definitely stay again. One thing to be aware of is the stairs - we were in room 7 on the top (3rd) floor, which meant carrying luggage up several flights and some narrow stairs at the top. Bear in mind if you have lots of luggage with you. The only improvement I would suggest is that the room needed more space to unpack and store clothes. There is one very short hanging rail but no drawers, which is odd given the ample space in the room.
