Welcome to our home in beautiful Berlin!
As we love traveling all over the world, our home is available for you to enjoy when we are not in Berlin. Enjoy your stay and hopefully you too will feel like "Ich bin ein Berliner" when you say goodbye.
Facilities
The 40m2 apartment is situated on the first floor of the side wing with balcony overlooking a landscaped courtyard. This makes the apartment very quiet as there is no noise from the street. Free WiFi internet.
The living room offers a complete built-in wall kitchen with all the appliances needed such as a large fridge with separate freezer, baking oven, 4-plate cooking hob (stove), microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. Good supply of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. There is even a indoor BBQ grill for our Aussie and South African friends.
The fold-away table and chairs can be used outside on the balcony or for dining / working inside.
A large queen size (160mm X 200mm) wall-bed ensures a comfortable sleep, but also lots of extra space when folded up against the wall - your choice!
A 3-seater corner couch which can be transformed into a double sleeper couch in no time completes the layout.
From all areas you can enjoy watching HD channels on the wall mounted 40" smart TV - only allowed if Berlin get's too much... ;-)
A separate room leading onto the bathroom can be used as walk-in closet, luggage storage (if you don't like to unpack), or additional sleeping arrangement on the single sleeper sofa. Here you also find the washing machine cupboard.
The Neighborhood
We know the importance of having shops and good transport connections within close walking distance, and this was one of the main considerations for selecting this apartment when we moved to Berlin, as you have all of this on your doorstep.
Getting Around
Friedrichshain is a trendy part of former East Berlin bordering Mitte (centre), Prenzlauer Berg and Kreuzberg. Restaurants, Cafes and Bars line the streets as you walk out the door and offer entertainment and cuisine from all parts of the world.
The LiDL Supermarket is 250m (3 minute walk) away.
Ostkreuz Station 350m (5 minute walk) away, is one of the main connections in Berlin. From here a number of S-Bahn services (S-5; S-7 & S-75) takes you to the centre of Berlin (Alexanderplatz) in only 10 minutes every 5 minutes from Gleis (platform) 8. At Ostkreuz Station you can also get a direct connection to Schonefeld Airport which takes approx. 25 minutes on the S-Bahn (S-9).

No smoking is allowed inside the apartment - please use the balcony for this purpose.
