The Space:
You are cordially invited to enjoy Denver from our incredibly inviting 3.5-bedroom home base. Here in the Twin Lakes neighborhood, you’ll stay in a beautifully updated house on a quiet street. And when you’re ready for adventure, the Mile High City and the Rocky Mountains are a short drive away. The two queen bedrooms and an additional two-twin room each have their own design aesthetic, a feature that extends to the custom bathroom.
The main floor is well laid out with a thoughtfully designed living room and large kitchen. With two sofas and an armchair, the main living area promotes conversation, tempts you to open a book under the window, and invites you to stream your favorite content on the gargantuan Smart TV.
The living room flows through to a chef-friendly remodeled kitchen with updated appliances. Bar seating for two makes meal preparation or cocktail hour a delightful experience. Not only is this kitchen gleaming with stainless steel and flooded with light; it also features sleek, expansive countertops and mod lighting over the bar. Everyone in your travel party can stay under one roof here and the basement space is almost a whole other apartment, cozy and private. The first queen bedroom is designed in soothing earth tones and draped in elegant lines. From the artistic lighting to the luxurious mattress and linens, this is a boudoir you will love coming home to. And when you just want to curl up and relax, this room also has a television. The second queen bedroom has all the luxury of the first, with a touch of playfulness evident in the golden lamp and modern-art decor. Here you will find another luxe mattress, hotel-quality linens, and a television. These are personalized accommodations that provide everything you need. Finally, two twin beds are tucked into the third bedroom. This snug chamber has a lighthearted feel and is perfect for kids and the young at heart.

During the warm seasons, you may find yourself out back listening to the birds while sipping your java. The snowy months set the scene for snowmen and snowball fights! And speaking of snowy pursuits, many visitors find that our neighborhood is an ideal home base for a skiing trip. Echo Mountain is only an hour away, and Eldora near Boulder is close by as well. Nordic skiing can be found near Frisco, a charming town that is the gateway for Breckenridge and Dillon Reservoir.
Your home away from home is ideally located, with easy access to downtown Denver. From Twin Lakes, a full range of mountain towns, hiking, and skiing are within minutes via I-76 to I-70 -- including the world-renowned outdoor music venue, Red Rocks Amphitheater. Head east to explore Denver’s RiNo Arts District, Mile High Stadium, Coors Field, and the city’s vibrant neighborhoods.

Twin Lakes is located near Denver’s popular Westminster and Berkeley neighborhoods, but with a sleepy charm all its own. We are just a few blocks from the Pecos onramp to the 36, which leads West to Boulder and links up with I-25, Colorado’s main North-South artery, to the East. This neighborhood is mostly residential, but walkable dining and imbibing districts can be found to the South on Tennyson Street, around Sloan’s Lake, and in other vibrant locations.
Downtown is about 15 minutes away, but we encourage guests to budget a few extra minutes to find parking. Once you’re Downtown, get oriented at Union Station, which has been reimagined as a cultural hub with cafes, art and shopping. From Union Station, Coors Field is within walking distance to the North, while Ball Arena (Nuggets and Avalanche) is to the South. Trendy Larimer Street is also nearby. You can switch trains at Union Station to get to Empower Field at Mile High. The 16th Street Mall offers a free shuttle, which is the best way to get to the Denver Performing Arts Center as well as the State Capitol and Denver Mint.
Further East, it’s a short Uber ride to City Park, Denver Zoo, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, the Botanical Gardens, and other attractions. The new Meow Wolf art experience is also worth checking out, as are the Denver Aquarium and Elitch Gardens. All three are near Empower Field and the REI Flagship store.
Here for a concert? Red Rocks is a mere 25 minutes away by car. You may want to check out this area regardless of your itinerary – it’s a unique place, and its gateway town of Morrison is charming. Link up an easygoing riverside hike at Lair O’ The Bear or an afternoon paddleboarding or skating in Evergreen to really make a day of it. Further south, you’ll find Roxborough State Park (35 minutes) for more hiking trails. One of Colorado’s main draws is Rocky Mountain National Park, which makes for a great day trip. Drive 1.5 hours through a dramatic canyon for a day of hiking, sightseeing and wildlife viewing.
Depending on your destination, skiing is 1-3 hours away. Locals head to Echo Mountain, Eldora (near Boulder) or Loveland (near Georgetown) for a more low-key experience, but we’re also within a few hours of Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and other snowy delights. There is a Nordic center near Breck if you want to try out cross-country skiing, and the summer months are a great time to rent a kayak to explore Dillon Reservoir.
In short, this is the perfect jumping-off point for exploring the best of Denver and the Rockies! It’s impossible to see everything in one visit, so we look forward to hosting you again after you fall in love with Mile High Life!
Getting Around:
We recommend having access to a car during your stay to bring everything within easy reach. As an alternative, Lyft and Uber are readily available throughout the Denver Metro area. Downtown Denver is walkable once you get there, or you can rent a bike or scooter if you like! These are especially fun in the RiNo Arts District. Ski shuttles and gear rentals are available for most major resorts.
If you brought a car, hop on I-76 to I-70 West to get to the Rockies for hiking, skiing, mountain towns and more. The closest skiing, trailheads and hamlets are about an hour away. I-25 will take you to Colorado Springs and Garden of the Gods to the South and Fort Collins, CSU, etc. to the North. Get to Golden (15 minutes) via the 58 and Boulder (20 minutes) via the 36. Everything is within easy reach!

This is a non-smoking, non-vaping home! We appreciate that some of our guests may be curious about Colorado’s herbal offerings, but this is not the place for that activity! An odor fee will be added to your reservation if this policy is violated. Thank you in advance for your compliance.
You will have access to driveway parking during your stay. Street parking is also readily available in front of the home.
No pets, parties and no extra guests (we can monitor check in via security cameras). Smoking is not allowed in the home. This is not a party spot! Quiet hours are from 10 PM - 8 AM. Any noise violations or complaints from neighbors will result in immediate eviction and loss of your security deposit. We appreciate your courtesy.
Our home is in an older neighborhood and several neighbors are home during the day. Please keep your noise level down when outside.
