Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Booked for Friday to Sunday to walk the Yorkshire 3 peaks on the Saturday. Arrived on the Friday evening very late but check in was easy due to the lock box, and communication from the host was very prompt and informative. Communication included being send a pdf with info about the property including parking info a few days in advance which was appreciated. There were six of us and the house slept us all very comfortably. All linens and towels were clean to the extent they felt new. The two bathrooms were modern and clean and shower pressure/flow was good. Kitchen facilities were very good with sufficient pots, pans and crockery for all our needs. We chose the property for its proximity to the start of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks at Horton in Ribblesdale which did not disappoint being less than a 15 minute drive away. One of our party ended the hike half way by getting the train back from Ribblehead to Settle where the house was only a 10 minute walk from the station which was highly convenient.
Negative: I would note this is out of the control of the host given this is a village in the Yorkshire Dales: Parking is tight and based on availability on the green outside the property but at most we parked less than a 5 minute walk away from the property when a space wasn’t available on the green - not an issue. We were six adults so space in the living room was tight but not uncomfortable. I’d imagine for a family with kids it’d be fine.
