The rustic holiday home is located in the immediate vicinity of the North Holland dune reserve in Egmond Binnen. You can easily get to the quiet beach through the dunes. The beach can only be reached on foot and by bike. A supermarket, bakery, hairdresser, etc. is also within walking distance (about 1km). Within 20 minutes by bicycle you are in the cozy Castricum aan Zee (5 km) and in the seaside resort Egmond aan Zee (5 km). From Heiloo station (5.5 km) you can reach Amsterdam Centraal by train in around 40 minutes.
Inside:
The bright living room on the ground level consists of a seating area, a dining area and a kitchen area, which is fully equipped for self-catering guests(microwave oven combination, fridge-freezer combination, toaster, kettle, etc.). The bathroom and a bedroom with a double bed are also on the ground level.
The loft above functions as a bedroom with two single beds and is directly connected to the living room. It can be reached with a loft ladder. This staircase is less / not suitable for small children (<6 years). For safety reasons, a stair gate was installed at the top.
Most dog owners have well-behaved dogs, but a few times a year that's not the case. Unfortunately, we had to decide to no longer rent our house to guests with pets.
The last 50 meters of the road is unpaved and quite narrow (unsuitable for motorhomes and extremely wide cars). You can park at the house and turn.
Surrounding:
The house is only a few minutes' walk (200 m) from the dunes away. You can comfortably cycle through the dunes (3 km) to the beach. You can also drive to Castricum aan Zee or Egmond aan Zee (5 km). There is a large supermarket in Egmond-Binnen (2 km). Haarlem is 25 and Amsterdam is 40 kilometers away. Egmond has a real family beach with a length of 8 kilometers, so you can take long walks, while the kids look for shells. The beautiful lighthouse is an attraction in itself. You are also close to the picturesque artists' village of Bergen and the delightful town of Alkmaar, where you can spend a day of shopping. The surroundings of the apartment offer you nature and varied landscape.
