Let us take you on an exquisite trip back in history with all the modern amenities. Located in the heart of the chic and budding Starland District, "the place to be for emerging artists and local businesses"; The Carriage House is perfect for romantic weekends, friend-cations, or long term business trips. We welcome Fur-babies. parties and events are not allowed. The location couldn't be more convenient to visitors wanting to take in the full Savannah experience while still having a safe comfortable spot to rest up for their next days adventure. The Studio at the Hive is a apt studio connected to a historic home built in the 1920's.
• The Studio has it's own private entrance; you will enter this cozy but comfortable dwelling by going down three steps and using your smart phone to unlock the door.
• Upon entering the home, you'll notice the space is well decorated and welcomes you to our "Hive" inspired space.
• The living space has a desk to work at, and small couch to relax on while enjoying the wall mounted flat screen and Roku streaming device.
• WIFI is included in your visit so just have your passwords ready to sign in to your favorite streaming services.
• The kitchenette is complete with all utensils,pot, pans and dishware you'll need as well as a portable stove top, microwave oven, and other convenient small appliances .
• To the left of the kitchen you'll find the bathroom which is uniquely equipped with an Ariel Steamer shower large enough for two. Relax and breath deep as your body unwinds in this luxurious shower which includes more than 10 shower heads with adjustable settings.
• The bedroom is offset to the right of the living space and has a raised full size bed ready to envelop you as you drift off to sleep in preparation for your next days adventure.
• The Studio is also great for business travelers that need a long term solution to their business stay.
• The Carriage House boasts an open floor plan with high open rafters positioned above the sitting room/office space furnished with two chairs that fold out into single beds, a full-size sofa couch and wall mounted flat screen complete with Roku streaming.
• House sleeps four but no more than six.
• The fully loaded stainless steel kitchen is equipped with hardwood counter-tops and everything you need to be a Top Chef! The kitchen shares space with the dining room table which has seating for four.
• To the rear of the kitchen is a full-size laundry room that also has hanger space for all of your evening attire.
• The spiral stairs leading up to the bedroom loft adds a touch of modern class to this southern classic.
• Once you enter the loft you are engulfed in the charm of the original unfinished wood floors, exposed brick, and a luxurious king-size bed.
• We welcome children of all ages; however, please be aware that our interior spiral stairs while very sturdy and safe, are very steep and not meant for young children. We would hate for you to book with us and be surprised by this so we make it a point to ensure you take a look at the pictures prior to booking with us.
• Directly outside the entrance is a privacy fenced backyard that is a shared space with the family who lives in the main house.
• Feel free to enjoy and unwind at the fire pit in the shared courtyard with a night cap sharing stories amongst friends.
• Traveling with little ones can make it difficult to pack all the essentials. We do keep a playpen on site that can be utilized; please just let us know and we'll set it up where you desire.
• Should you have forgotten your fur-babies bed or food bowels we do keep both on sight and wash them after every guest when used.
• 37th St is a grand boulevard with moss draped oaks and sidewalks.
• The Studio is within walking distance or a scenic bike ride of neighborhood galleries, eclectic shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, library, pizza, tacos, bakery, and all Savannah has to offer.
• 1/2 mile to Forsyth Park.
• Less than 2 miles to River Street.
• 3/4 mile to I-16
• 17 miles to Tybee Island.
• 11 miles to the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.
