Summary: Our recent stay was disappointing due to several issues.Privacy Concerns: Unannounced visitors entered the property daily without notice. One individual entered the house unannounced, accessed a locked room, and claimed to be “fixing the Wi-Fi,” despite no prior communication or reported issues. Others from the adjoining property used the verandah for smoking and drinking coffee. A handyman parked in the driveway and became aggressive when asked to move so we could park.Amenities & Cleanliness: The property lacked rubbish and recycling bins, despite house rules requiring rubbish removal. Kitchen cleaning supplies were old and unhygienic, and a dirty outdoor bin was used as the kitchen bin. The kitchen layout was inconvenient, with only a mini fridge in the kitchen while the larger fridge and microwave were in the dining area. The living area lacked a TV, and the dining space resembled hostel-style seating. Bedrooms had sagging or excessively hard mattresses, and curtain rails were poorly maintained.Misleading Advertisements: The property was advertised as having a children’s playground, but none existed. The gardens and lawns were unkempt.Overall Experience: Check-in details were unclear, and messages to the owner went unanswered until I had to call. Privacy invasions, poor amenities, and lack of communication made our stay stressful. We hope these issues are addressed for future guests.
