Excellent Location Overlooking Front St in the ❤ of Historic Old Wilmington, Complimentary Parking, Rooftop Bar w/ Sunset Views, Coffee Shop downstairs, a block to Riverwalk! Surrounded by art, culture, live music, local breweries, cafes, restaurants. Designed in the Steampunk Genre, a true airbnb experience full of fantasy, luxury furnishings, king bed, fine linens, historic heart pine floors & large windows! We had a blast designing “The Aether” & take pride in sharing it with you!
The space
Remodeled Sept 2020 - All of our creativity and love went into making The Aether a unique and luxurious getaway. We decided to create a twist on the port city feel by making it Steampunk influenced. From the portholes, to the ships galley designed with up-cycled furnishings, we created The Aether. We hope you enjoy all the fun details we put into making this a luxurious and fun getaway! Fresh steamed Luxury Linens & Bathrobes await you. Enjoy and relax in comfort as you read the story of Anne Bonny, the most famous female pirate to sail during the Golden Age....Join us in The Aether!
**This listing was completely remodeled after Hurricane Florence damaged the building extensively in 2018, with restoration ending June 2020, and our remodeling completed and re-listed Oct 2020**

The condo is yours to enjoy, there are coin laundry machines located across the hallway. There is an elevator, but it is sometimes out of service.
Other things to note
The condo faces Front Street which is great for people watching and festivals, it may get noisy at night, definitely on Friday and Saturdays. We added thick cellular blinds and heavy black out draperies when we remodeled, and provide complimentary ear plugs for your comfort if needed. :-)
There is an elevator, I can NOT guarantee it will be working during your stay as it is original to the building and prone to being cranky. The condo is on the 2nd floor, there are marble stairs.
We pay for monthly parking in a public garage, with pedestrian access across the street from our building.

Summary: This location is perfect if you want to take in the vibrant scene of downtown Wilmington and have a very short drive to Wrightsville Beach. We were able to walk to each restaurant we visited, and all were excellent!The property is precisely as advertised, in the heart of Wilmington. The king-size bed was very comfortable, and all linens, utensils, dishes and flatware were of very good quality.I was able to communicate often with the property host without any delays.Parking is very convenient with a garage directly across the street. Even on busy Saturday evening I was able to find a spot.I highly recommend this property, and we look forward to return!- Patrick & Tanya
