Summary: The best part of the property for our group was the location. Not only is the waterfront side in a great spot on the canal, but the home is within great distance to nearby stores or restaurants. Having never visited Fort Myers before, we didn’t know the area at all. But it was super easy to navigate how to get where once we left the subdivision. The subdivision is not party central like a beachfront condo would have been, it’s all very much residential. This worked out great for us. The check-in process was a little strange to me and I had to personally reach out to the owner to figure out what the method would be. Not a big deal though. The cleanliness of the property could have used a little work, but that’s no fault of the owner. There is only one working TV in the home (living room). The ice machine didn’t work upon our arrival (I did notify Al, not sure why the previous renters didn’t) but we didn’t let that ruin our stay. Our biggest disappointment from the home was not seeing dolphins in the canal. Just our luck though, again no fault of the owner or anyone. Just nature hates us apparently ha ha. The whole family loved the kayaks and the pool. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the boats go by. All in all- it was a great stay. I would recommend it to anyone and wish Al the best of luck on future bookings
