Our kids say "If you're on the beach you only have the beach, if you're on the creek you have the beach and the creek!" This incredibly beautiful, impeccably appointed home, has just been newly renovated and has a spectacular back yard and full dock on the creek. We have owned rental properties on Fripp for over 20 years and purchased 362 Wahoo Drive as our own vacation home and are offering to share it with you for your vacation as well. We've completely updated our home, purchased all new furniture throughout, and have just recently begun to offer our house on the market for vacation rentals and are just now setting up our regulars. If you are one of our early renters, you'll be able to lock in your regular week in a premier home for years to come!
Stay at a beautiful home located on one of the very few private islands actually located on the Atlantic Ocean! No one gets past the guards at the gate to get on the island unless they are an owner of a home or the guest of an owner. If you've seen the Netflix series "The Outer Banks", it's filmed only about an hour north of Fripp and you can get an idea of what it's like here!
362 Wahoo is perfectly located in the center of the island on 'Fabulous Fripp'. Located on the creek with its own private dock and literally a 45 second golf cart ride or a 3-minute walk to the best beach on Fripp which always has a wide sandy beach at not only low tide but also at high tide and King tides! .
This six-bedroom, five-bath fully renovated house is offered with a rental fee that includes our sea kayaks and the use of our bikes.
Our home is located in the most desirable area on Fripp and you can now rent this magnificent large home. Freshly renovated, modern and in a quiet area about as close to everything as you can get. This is the fourth home we've owned on Fripp. We are so happy to be able to offer it as a rental. The key to an exceptional vacation is not only the house but also a convenient yet quiet location - this house offers all that and so much more!
This house has never been rented previously and is a total dream, unbelievably outfitted and decorated by "Touch of Crane" with their impeccable and one of kind taste that hit all the right notes. A light and airy feel of the perfect beach home! When you open the door to the fabulous heart of pine cool wood floors, warm furnishings and delightful accents you'll feel like you've stepped into that island vacation you've been longing for. The decor, the new furnishings and top-notch appointments of this home were all done with great thought and detail and we hope that you will love your vacation here. We provide clean towels and linens for your stay (we seem to get asked that question a lot).
The layout of the house works very well for vacationing with all living spaces located on one floor. Bedrooms are in two separate wings with three bedrooms located in one wing and two bedrooms on the other, there is a 6th bedroom on the terrace level. Great for two families or for parents wanting a little privacy from the kids! The house has large beds in all bedrooms and can sleep up to fourteen comfortably. When figuring how many amenity cards you want, remember that children 12 and under do not need amenity cards and not everyone is always together at the same time. And, more cards are always available for the nominal fee the Club charges us if you need them, just let us know. The terrace floor bedroom is a mini-suite with two twin XL beds, ensuite full bathroom and a sitting area with large flat screen for gaming (great kids room!).
The sleeping accommodations are extremely comfortable for 12 guests in the six bedrooms: with THREE KING bedrooms - 1 king master bedroom with private bathroom and private deck and beautiful view of the creek, 1 king master bedroom with bathroom and porch, and 1 king bedroom with private deck and bathroom next door with a beautiful view of the creek. The three additional bedrooms feature - 1 bedroom with 2 queen beds and porch, 1 bedroom with queen bed and porch and 1 bedroom with 2 twin XL beds, a futon and private bathroom and sitting area with TV. All the bedrooms have flatscreen TVs and large closets.
Owned by a restaurant executive and his designer wife and their family, one of the key attractions of this spacious home is the gorgeous professional Viking equipped kitchen. You're on vacation, but with up to 12 in the house, sometimes it feels like you're cooking for an army and you have all the tools you'll need for a great vacation. And while you're cooking, of course, plenty of ice in a built-in under-counter ice machine in the kitchen to keep you cooled down.
Three air conditioning systems, one for each wing of the house so there's no fighting over the temperature and a private AC system for the ground floor bedroom, a fireplace that's nice to look at that you'll never use, comfortable living spaces, beautiful antique farmhouse dining table set for ten but with space and extra chairs for 12, large screened porch with ceiling fans and comfy furnishings overlooking the tidal creek and marsh as well as open decks and a private dock for you to enjoy your morning cup of coffee and fishing and crabbing. Firepit, sunbathing deck and outdoor living spaces, what else could you ask for? We leave bikes for some fun and our three sea kayaks (one double and two singles) to have fun paddling around. The terrace (ground level) bedroom has its own (third) HVAC system with controls in the bedroom.
Our home is on a beautiful lot and so centrally located. Close to everything yet tucked away in a quiet street. There is a newly built ground level deck that works as a transition from our back screened porch and deck complex and attractive fire pit for evening relaxation as you enjoy the creek and chat or just relax a bit. Off of our large double garage, we've added an additional refrigerator for you to hold enough beverages for you to keep them cold for the dozen people that can stay in our home. And, we've created a large separate laundry area on the ground floor.
We've been members of the Fripp Club for almost 20 years and the Fripp Club is the private Country Club on the island, every amenity on the island is part of the club. The Club has just added a 12.8% fee in all homeowners who rent we pay for part of what you pay us. We don't pass on all of the 12.8% and you are only paying for a portion in your charge. We include 6 amenity cards in full week rentals. Amenity cards are needed to access Club's amenity and The Fripp Island Club has two golf courses, both ranked as Golf Digest Top 100 golf courses, three major (and one small) pool complexes, boat rental, bike rental, tennis, Beach Club, pizza restaurant, food court, workout gym, restaurants, and other amenity areas. Beach access does not require a card.
For weekly summer rentals between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the resort has instituted a 12.8% fee on all homes that rent to guests. Because this represents a significant increased cost to our guests, we will pay for a rental 6 passenger golf cart for your use during your stay and also purchase 6 amenity cards at our cost. You can purchase additional amenity cards for the Club at the fee the Club charges us at no markup to what we are charged.
We have exterior Ring security cameras to protect our property from intruders when we are not there. They are located outside near areas of entry or exit and are not in use when guests are in residence.
