This 4 Bed, 4.5 bath log home sits on a large 2.8 acre lot with multiple outdoor porches overlooking the property and the Slate River. Relax and enjoy the picturesque riverside, with a 1/2 mile of fishing rights, and wonderful solo stove outdoor firepit. From spring through fall, the sounds of the Slate can be heard throughout the home. Immerse yourself in nature as you are surrounded by one of the longest running ranches in the valley. Mule deer and elk can be seen grazing on the hillside from the wrap around porches!
As you are driving through the iconic Slate River Valley, you will find the private driveway nestled amongst giant pines and aspen trees. It's a short driveway so access is never an issue during the snowy season. You'll find the heated, oversized 2 car garage, with ample room for your toys, both in the garage and on the driveway. The 2 large porches run the length of the house and the upper porch is where the main entrance is located. This upper porch also has a private sitting area on one end perfect for enjoying coffee at sunrise and a gas table fire pit sitting area on the other. From here, you can walk through the Barbeque room, with a large gas grill, that also walks through to the west facing deck, home to a metal outdoor dining table. You have a beautiful unobstructed view of Whetsone Mountain & the Slate River from the deck.
The front door opens into an open large foyer area, with beautiful built in storage, as well as access to a powder room and stairs. The Master Bedroom is to the right of the foyer and offers a King bed, a rocked gas stove fireplace, a smart TV, and walks through and into the Master Bath. The bath is absolutely stunning, complimented with large double sinks, vanity area, separate toilet stall, giant walk in shower, and a beautiful oversized soaking tub.
The main living area and fully-stocked kitchen are to the left of the entrance. You will have everything you need for cooking delicious meals on the gas stove, a Jura espresso steam wand machine , cast iron skillets, griddles, a coffee maker, toaster, blender and more. A small sitting area gives way to a vaulted ceiling with floor to ceiling windows and an incredible view of Mt. Whetstone. A large dining table looks over the comfortable living area with large sofa, two leather recliners, a nice remote operated gas fireplace, and large smart tv with various streaming apps installed.
Upstairs is a large, comfortable loft with pull-out couch and sitting area, small library filled with books & children's toys and a dedicated desk and work area. Off the loft is a bunk room, with a queen bed/twin bunk with a smart TV, and its own full bathroom, home to a walk in shower. On the other end of the loft is a third full bedroom with a queen bed and a TV. This too has its own bathroom, with a full shower tub combo.
Downstairs has access to the oversized 2 car garage , sauna, and separate lockable apartment area. This one bedroom apartment has its own lower level entrance, and features a small living area with a leather pull-out couch, TV and fully-stocked kitchen. The bedroom is home to a queen bed, and has its own master bath with shower tub combo.
The property features beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy 360 degree mountain views. They include a wonderful fire pit as well as stairs down to the river where a fun treehouse sits above its bank.
