The space
They say you've never experienced a sunset, until you see one in Georgian Bay! (Just be careful, because they are a tiny bit addictive and you will end up having to return again and again...).
The house and the surrounding area offer plenty of indoor and outdoor activities for literally everyone to enjoy all year round! We have amazing feedback both from families and groups of friends who stayed with us!
Located on shores of crystal clear Georgian Bay, this spacious and comfortable home with 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and large recreation room, all in all over 3000 sqf of space makes perfect and convenient gateway for a quick trip or longer stays! It comfortably sleeps 10, up to a maximum of 12 people.
This home offers all the amenities you might need to fully relax, recharge and enjoy your stay; central air, AC, gas fire place, laundry, fully equipped kitchen with TWO dishwashers, TWO full fridges and everything you need to prepare deliciously gourmet meals - just bring food You can even have your groceries delivered to your door using Instacart - grocery delivery service!
If you prefer not cooking on your vacation (no judgment whatsoever!), closest restaurant (and one with the absolutely best, stunning view in town) is right down the street on the main beach, together with a convenience store and LCBO, which is also open all year long! *Check the hours of operation for restaurants in the off season*
If you are planning on cooking, in addition to fully equipped kitchen, we supply propane BBQ, you just need to bring your favorite food and voila!
We are pet parents and have decided to make our home pet friendly too, and ask guests to please inquire before booking. We charge a small fee to cover the added cleaning expense.
Heating and cooling are entirely automated and the house will be set on a comfortable temperature prior to your arrival and will turn off automatically after your departure, a feature our guests with children especially appreciate during the winter months, but also nice to arrive in a cool space during the hottest weeks in the year!
You can immediately kick your boots away, grab a favorite drink and hit the enormous sofa bed in front of the fire place/jacuzzi/pool table .... (fill in the dots) and relax!!
We know some of you enjoy their devices and the distraction they provide, especially when the weather outside is less then cooperative. In addition to unlimited high speed internet we have included in your stay, we have two television sets in the house.
The one on the main floor has several local programs and a few paid ones (National Geographic, History, Discovery Nickelodeon) for you to choose from, as well as Netflix.
The second tv can be used to watch one of the many choices of movies we have supplied on DVD.
For moments when you want to play together as a group, in addition to board games, we also offer state of the art pool table for your enjoyment! Pool is one of those games everyone can enjoy, from complete beginners to pros. You can play it on your own or with a group and this is by far our favorite indoor game!
We have a selection of adult and kid size cues so everyone can participate!
Our family loves to read! You will find tons of books on various topic and story books for all ages and different interest our gusts are welcome to enjoy!
On nice days, our expansive back yard is an ever popular choice for playing, dining or just chilling out! In 2022 we added and extended on our deck so it now features roughly 700 square feet of space with modern and comfortable furniture and lounge chairs, as well as equally large rain-proof space underneath with harvest table and seating for 12.
We are located in a quiet, residential area of Balm and most of our neighbors are full time residents. Because this is such a quiet and peaceful area, it is not at all appropriate for parties or loud, unruly groups and we would like to keep it that way.
Closest town is Midland (10-minute drive) with all the amenities you can possibly need, grocery stores, shopping mall, hospital etc. all easily accessible, only a short drive away.
Penetanguishene, a beautiful small town with a lovely marina is only 11 km away.
Wye Marsh is a beautiful conservation area, about 15 minutes drive from us and is open with activities 365 days a year! They offer kayak, canoe, ski shoe rentals and tours as well as self guided tours. We highly recommend a visit there!
If winter sports are your cup of tea, you will not be disappointed! Several ski hills and numerous snowmobile trails are within close distance from the home with plenty of wintertime activities for all generations;
-MountainView Ski Center with over 30km of snow trails is only 12 minutes away. They have equipment rental so you can spend the day cross country skiing or snowshoeing and not worry about having to bring your own!
-Mount St. Louis Moonstone is 33 minutes away.
-Snow Valley Ski Resort is 43 minutes away.
-Blue Mountain is 1 hour 6 minutes away.
In season, visit a local farm and pick your own strawberries, go horse riding, canoeing, snowmobiling or ice fishing! There is truly something to do all year round, with summer being the most popular season due to the most amazing swimmable waters and beach.
If you prefer walking or biking, plenty of walking and biking trails are all around you. All you have to do is put on your shoes and go out.
There are tennis courts and a children's playground not 100 meters from the cottage, in case you want to play a quick round of tennis! We supply a few tennis racquets too!
If you didn't have a chance to come and visit during the summer, or simply need another getaway, winter is the perfect time to come and unwind from the stress of your daily life and experience the tranquil peace of Balm Beach. This comfortable home makes that possible!

Guests have access to the entire house, front and back yards.
Other things to note
1. NO SMOKING in the house or on the deck.
2. Only guests listed in the reservation are allowed to stay at the property
3. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
4. Only use appliances for their intended uses.
5. No bubbles, oil or other products should go into the jacuzzi tub when jets are on.
6. Clean the BBQ if you use it.
7. Pets are allowed only when pre-approved. Additional fee applies, please inquire.
8. Parking: Parking is available in the driveway ONLY.
9. Housekeeping: Please leave the property as you found it.
10. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper down our toilets.
11. Be kind to the neighbors.
12. Keep the noise down. Excessive noise is the quickest way for a visit from the by-law officers and putting a real damper on your vacation.
13. Use the fire pit safely and check fire conditions (is there a ban) before. Never leave the fire unattended or put more than 3-4 logs in at the time. If you use more then a few logs, please replenish the wood at the end of your stay.
14. Respect the check-out time. Overstaying your check out time may result in additional charges.
15. By proceeding with this reservation, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to all the short term rental rules as set forth by Tiny Township.
16. Before being issued the combination for the doors, you are required to send the owner a copy of your Ontario issued Driver's License or another document with a photograph.
17. There are security cameras on the property as well as early noise detection devices.
While some may feel our rules are strict and extensive, trust that they are all here to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable stay with us!
