Things to do in the area:
You will be 900metres from the Dag pub, a well-known stopping off place for its country hospitality, food, and live music.
The Caboolture to Woodford rail trail has become very popular, and many riders catch the train to Caboolture, then hop on the rail trail for an overnight in the area before heading back home.
A short drive or bicycle ride will take you to Woodford, a vibrant little township, with a variety of cafes and restaurants. The Woodford music festival is a local annual highlight.
The nearby largely undiscovered dairy country of Mt. Mee has beautiful views stretching towards the Coast and Moreton Bay in one direction, and Brisbane in the other. Rainforest walks and lush camping are on offer.
The Glass House mountains are the local skyline feature, and offer a good a variety of hiking opportunities.
The ever-growing town of Caboolture hosts the biggest Medieval reenactment festival in the southern hemisphere, a world class equestrian centre that will be a focal point of the Brisbane Olympics, and an aerodrome if you wish to fly in and out of the area.
The Sunshine Coast hinterland is easily accessible, with the townships of Maleny Montville and Mapleton ready to explore. Dams, waterfalls, and rainforest walks are popular.
The beaches of the Sunshine Coast can boast some of the best beaches of the world, with Noosa National Park arguably the best of the best. A drive along the Noosa north shore is an unforgettable experience.

Closing the Woodford to Moore gap on the “Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.”
Being a trail rider myself, here, and internationally, having had discussions with the State member, it seems the plans to link up Woodford to the BVRT are long term plans for local and State Governments. However, until this happens, many Rail Trail riders, after catching the train to Caboolture, enjoy the ride from Caboolture to Woodford, and then return to Caboolture, as it is not so cost effective or easy to get to the BVRT at Moore or elsewhere along the track.

If you cycle the Caboolture to Woodford rail trail, and stay at your MA RUI accommodation, in the D’Aguilar area, then, by prior arrangement, at time of booking, we can give you and your bikes, at a time that suits you, a lift out to Moore, Harlin, or further up or down the trail as per your needs, and set you on your way for an enjoyable adventure.
So why not cycle to Woodford, have a late lunch, cool off in the Woodford pool (summertime) then to MA RUI bed and breakfast.
