Remote, Romantic, Rustic, Rural Cabin | Cabin in Boise, ID

2 Bedroom Cabin with Bedding and Kitchen
The Cabin: It is a rustic, romantic small cabin with large wrap-around deck nestled in the pine trees, 8.2 miles to the Capitol Building in Downtown Boise. Built in the summer and fall of 2007 as an agricultural structure to support a native seed and tree operation. It has rarely been rented. Beautiful heritage fruit orchards are within walking distance. You may see elk, deer, wild turkeys, quail, other wildlife, and I recently saw evidence of a bear. Some say cougars are in the area, too, but I haven't seen any..
What to do? The possibilities:
Snow shoeing, cross-country skiing and hiking, for the active.
Reading, writing, thinking for the reflective.
Planning and scheduling for the planner.
Napping and resting, for the tired.
Intimacy and romance for the romantic.
You will not see another vehicle or structure from this property. A non-intrusive caretaker is near, but not on the property.
This is not a traditional offering: The cabin has a serene ambiance, with a view, under the pines, a BBQ pit for cooking, a "sheepherder" wood stove for heating & cooking; solar for lighting.1 1/2 baths with shower; water from a spring and a sleeping loft for 2 and a bedroom for 2. Could sleep 6.
Also propane for cooking and heating. You must feed the chickens.
Off grid: Solar power; water from a spring. About 10 degrees cooler than Boise, and above the inversions Daily rate: $100 per night, with 5-night minimum. 20% discount if arrival by bicycle, cross country skis or on foot; $100 cleaning deposit. available December 2020. A well socialized dog is OK. Cats, not so much.
Everything is clean: deck, towels, pots & pans, dishes, floor and furniture. Bottled water, basic food condiments, flashlights and candles are provided. There is a BBQ on the deck and fire pit, a wood-burning stove, a bookcase, and games. Firewood is provided.
Weather: From November to March, you can expect snow. Today, there are a couple inches of snow, but the roads are mostly clear. That being said, a four wheel drive vehicle is a must when staying at this property (if you're coming up by car). The elevation of ~ 4,600 feet usually puts you above the Boise inversions, which can be depressing. Expect 10-15 degrees lower than forecast for Boise. Parking: very limited; bring no more than one vehicle. No noisy motorcycles, ATVs. Reliable (mostly) AT&T and Verizon cell phone service is usually available.
Driving distance from the Capitol Building in downtown Boise to Cabin is about 8.2 miles. It is not a good road. Driving time is about 20 minutes. You could also arrive by bicycle or hike (everyday many bike or jog to the nearby summit from Boise).
