Summary: A palace indeed! Tons of history and you can tell at one time, it was one of the most amazing homes in the U.S.! You're only renting a portion of the home as the other parts are used for photo shoots and filming. The landscaping is phenomenal and the exterior of the home is breathtaking. There are improvements to be made as some of the exterior balcony tiles are missing and some of the lawn structures are deteriorating. The interior portion where we stayed was nice but there was some plug covers missing and frankly seemed like there was still some work that needs to be done. Overall we had a great experience. I gave it 4 stars with 3 going to the interior and 5 going to the grounds. It's a magical place to take pictures and would be a phenomenal place for a wedding! As soon as the updates I mentioned are complete, this will be one of the grandest homes in America!
