Oak Lane Lodge/Sleeps 10/Hot Tub/Amenities Galore/Amazing Hosts | House in Grand Lake, CO
3 Bedroom House with TV, Balcony and Bedding
Welcome to The Oak Lane Lodge– Your Cozy, Eclectic, Mountain Escape! We have provided all the information you need for a great stay, so take a minute to read EVERYTHING!
Bedrooms & Sleeping Arrangements
* **Upstairs** you’ll find two king bedrooms and one queen room, each with reading lights, nightstands, dressers, and closets stocked with white noise fans and hangers. Each bedroom features black out shades. One king bedroom opens to the side deck w
* **Downstairs** is our bunk bed bonanza: four twin bunks built into a cozy sleeping/lounge area. Each has a privacy curtain, reading light, and major fort-building potential.
Kitchens: Yes, *Plural*
Upstairs Kitchen: Fully stocked and ready for anything. Includes a crockpot, blender, mixer, electric stovetop, oven, microwave, and all the cooking essentials.
We also throw in welcome snacks, cold drinks, coffee, cream, and basic condiments because you deserve a treat after traveling. Dish detergent and paper towels are also provided because why should you have to buy that on vacation?
Downstairs Kitchen: Complete with an apartment size fridge, microwave, and sink. Perfect for midnight snacks or storing adult beverages. This area features a 4 person-bar height table.
Bathrooms
Two in total—one upstairs, one downstairs. Both have showers, sinks, toilets, heated floors (your toes will thank you), shampoo, conditioner, body wash, fluffy towels, cozy robes, and hair dryers.
Entryway Goals
Our spacious downstairs entryway has heated floors and tons of space to dump your gear, kick off your boots, and regroup after an epic day in the mountains.
Living & Lounge Areas
**Upstairs living room** Reclining couch bliss. Gas fireplace.
**Downstairs lounge** Comfy chairs + bunk beds with jumbo reading pillows = reading nook heaven or extra hangout seating. We've even got a gas fireplace down here, too.
We also supply games and puzzles.
Laundry? Don’t Sweat It
Yes, we have a washer and dryer — because adventures can get messy, and suitcase space is limited. Whether it's hiking gear, or that one shirt you packed just in case, feel free to toss it in. We even provide laundry soap, so no need to smuggle detergent in your carry-on. Clean clothes, happy vibes!
Hot Tub
Professionally serviced between each booking. So go ahead, soak your troubles away. Our hot tub is located under the covered patio so it is private and stays clear of snow. We provide robes and hot tub towels.
Tech Stuff (Yes, We Have WiFi)
We’ve got **WiFi** strong enough for streaming, Zoom calls, or uploading your 87 moose photos.
Both the upstairs and downstairs living areas have Smart TVs, and there are TVs in the two bedrooms with king beds so you can binge your favorite shows, stream movies, or throw on a crackling fireplace video to really commit to the cabin vibe. Just log into your own accounts and you're good to go.
Fire Pit
We love it, and we hope you will too! You’ll need to grab your own firewood, but we provide lighters, matches, and tinder to get things crackling.
Heads up: Grand County sometimes enforces fire bans. If Smokey the Bear says no, please listen—those fines aren’t cute and neither is a forest fire.
Covered Deck
The crown jewel of outdoor relaxation. Morning coffee, evening wine, stargazing—it’s all better out here. This area is covered so it stays cool all summer long! Patio features a dining table and chairs and a comfy couch and chairs. We've also provided yoga mats for ultimate bliss.
Parking
Our entire driveway is yours—spread out! There’s even a covered area for sleds or side-by-sides. Our driveway is big enough for boats, multiple cars and even a RV.
Pets
Bring up to **two dogs**! We love furry guests. Just please clean up after them and let us know if they have any “oops” moments indoors so we can deep clean. Yard is **not** fenced, so leash up, please.
Kid-Friendly Vibes
We’ve got a pack-and-play waiting for your little adventurer. We've also got unbreakable plates and cups and a few toys and books for the littlest littles.
Smoking
Hard pass. This is a smoke-free property—indoors and out. Thanks for keeping our mountain air mountain-fresh.
Location
Less than **1 mile** from Shadow Mountain Lake and Trail Ridge Marina. Translation: epic views and water fun are basically next door.
We are in Grand Lake, not Estes Park. Rocky Mountain National Park has two entrances. Estes Park is the east entrance and Grand Lake is the west entrance.
Winter Weather Advisory
Grand Lake winters are not for the faint of heart—or the poorly packed. Snow, ice, and wild weather mood swings are all part of the charm.
**Try to arrive before dark.** We’re well-marked and lit, but mountain driving at night = less fun. We are just one mile off the main highway; that one mile is a dirt road and slightly uphill so AWD is recommended and 4WD is probably needed if there is snow.
* **Our cancellation policy is strict.** Like, really strict. No refunds for snowflakes.
**Roads can be wild.** 4WD or AWD is strongly recommended.
**Driveway is plowed**, but you might need to flex your snow-shoveling muscles. We provide shovels and ice melt.
**Pack smart.** Winter boots, warm clothes, gloves that aren’t just for fashion—you get the idea.
Seasons in the Mountains: What to Expect
Mud/Shoulder Seasons
Mid-October to late November and mid/late April to mid/late May are quieter, muddier, and perfect if you're into peace, cool air, and low crowds. Some businesses close, but solitude is in full supply.
Peak Season (Sunshine + Selfies):
May through September is the party season—everything’s open, the lake’s sparkling, and the wildlife is doing its thing.
High-Demand Holidays:
* Thanksgiving
* Christmas & New Year’s
* Spring Break (March)
* Fall Break (October)
These times are festive, popular, and priced accordingly. Plan ahead and maybe pack your patience.
Wildlife Alert
You’re in the mountains now, friend! Moose, bears, foxes, raccoons, deer, and more may drop by. *Do not engage the wildlife. This is not a Disney movie. Respect the wildlife, snap a pic from afar, and don’t leave food outside or in your car overnight unless you want a raccoon rave on the patio.
The Oak Lane Lodge is your perfect mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. Whether you’re coming for a romantic getaway, family adventure, or friend-filled retreat, we’ve got everything you need—plus a few surprises.
Let us know if you have any questions—and we’ll see you (and possibly your dog) in the mountains
