3 Bedroom Cottage with Bedding, Internet and Kitchen
A privately run spacious and beautifully decorated cottage in a private lane near to beach : 2 double bedrooms (kingsize beds), 1 twin room, 1 en-suite shower room and family bathroom, (cot & stair gates available). Spacious lounge with gas (woodburner style) stove for cosy winter nights and dining area opening out onto patio and gorgeous south facing cottage garden (contained) with garden furniture and BBQ. Free Wifi, books, DVDs, games, and beach wind breaker. All linen and towels are provided. Views to the estuary and beyond - and the beach is two minute’s walk away.
We are now accepting up to 2 medium sized dogs and a dog cage is available (if required), along with doggy hair dryer after a hose down outside - having had a bounce around on the beach and in the sea! Instow is a favourite destination for dog walkers .... and as a treat to doggy walkers - a bottle of Prosecco in fridge to greet you when you arrive!
Instow is a picturesque village situated on the estuary where the rivers Taw and Torridge meet. It commands panoramic views of the estuary (looking across towards Appledore), the sea and the surrounding countryside. There are a number of excellent pubs and restaurants within walking distance - The Quay, Instow Arms, The Boathouse, The Commodore and the Wayfarer. The village has a very well stocked deli shop (Johns) and Post Office on Marine Parade just around the corner from the cottage.

The Tarka Trail passes through Instow, letting you explore the area by foot or on bike. This section of the Trail is also part of the South West Coast Path, offering longer walks along the coast.
"We hugely enjoyed staying in this really lovely cottage. It was immaculately clean and very well appointed to the highest quality. Heather was an excellent host and very responsive to any question. We were very comfortable, lovely beds and very well-equipped kitchen. The proximity to the long sandy beach was a real bonus. The dog loved it too! We had no trouble parking on the Marina as it was out of season and unrestricted. The bottle of Prosecco was a great welcome gesture. Altogether this cottage exceeded our expectations, we loved it and would highly recommend it ..." October 2022
