The Lumbercat Den is a creatively renovated cabin with all the modern conveniences you need to have a perfect Poco70’no Mountains getaway. The home has a bright and spacious open floor plan on the main level, perfect for family and friends to gather. Guests can enjoy eating and grilling on the large deck surrounded by trees, and roasting marshmallows by the fire. Start the day by enjoying your morning coffee on the front patio and after an adventure packed day in the mountains or on the lake, end it by cuddling up with a good book and a glass of wine in the den. This lovely cabin in the Poconos offers guests lots of added amenities and comforts of home, like games, books, organic shampoo/conditioner and body wash, coffee, tea and cooking essentials. Located in The Hideout, a private and gated community about 2 hours from both Philly and NYC, The Lumbercat Den offers guests countless amenities within walking distance including lakes, beaches, a ski hill and more.
The Space:
The space has been designed to accommodate a couple, a family or a group of friends (any combination of up to 6 people).
There are three bedrooms. The two downstairs bedrooms each have a queen sized bed and the upstairs bedroom has a full sized bed.
Bathrooms are located on both floors. Each has a shower/tub, toilet and vanity and are equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and sanitizer and first aid kits. A hair dryer is located downstairs.
The well appointed kitchen comes fully equipped to make any common meal and includes a coffee maker, stove, dishwater, microwave, toaster and tea kettle.
There are two living rooms for you to relax in. Upstairs you will find a smart TV, cozy electric fireplace and a luxurious couch. Downstairs features a murphy bar to mix a cocktail, drink fridge and a plethora of games for all ages.
There is high speed WIFI and a desk located in the upstairs bedroom, perfect if you need to work remotely.
There are multiple outdoor spaces to enjoy.
The main deck off the living room has a seasonal view of the lake. Here you will find a propane fire table and large seating area, a dining table and Weber grill.
The wood fire pit area has ample seating to enjoy a beautiful fire at any time of your stay.
The patio, located at the front of the house has additional seating and is a great morning coffee spot.
Within The Hideout Community:
The house is a 10-15 minute walk from Roamingwood Park and Marina and a 10-15 minute walk in the other direction to North Beach, where you can swim and launch the two kayaks included in your rental. You can also drive- it takes about a minute.
Within a 5 minute drive you can reach the following:
- Main Beach (with boat rentals), pool, and seasonal tiki bar.
- The Ski Hill which is open on weekends + President’s week in winter (DOA).
-The art center is the perfect spot to paint your own pottery or get creative.
-A 9-hole golf course and pub
-The Rec Center which has a gym, library, indoor courts and arcade.
-The North Pool
-Mini golf
-A 2.7 mile nature walking trail

The surrounding area:
-Bordering Pocono’s towns are just minutes away. Head to Honesdale and Hawley for great food, awesome breweries, wineries, cute stores and lots of antiquing.
-There are other dining options. grocery stores and all needed conveniences within a 7 minute drive of the house.
-There are numerous larger ski mountains and water parks within a 25 minute- 1 hour drive as well as many other kid friendly activities such as zoo's and rail biking.
- Beautiful hiking and mountain biking trails can be found essentially in every direction- from spanning nature preserves to lakeside jaunts.
-Lake Wallenpaupack (about 20 minutes away) offers visitors lakeside dining, pontoon boat rentals and more.
