Nestled in the Serene Mojave Desert, Hi-Desert Hideaway is a Mid-Century Modern Ranchette privately located, just 20 minutes from Palm Springs and under 30 minutes to the magnificent Joshua Tree National Park. Enjoy unparalleled views and stargaze from the hot tub. Relax and watch the sunrise and sunset from a variety of outdoor seating areas, both open air and shade covered. Bordered by BLM land, hike the wash and emerge into natural flora, fauna and desert wildlife.
Please note that while the property is private and somewhat rural, there are still neighbors, we ask that guests adhere to the 10pm quiet time and are respectful of the neighbors. Enjoying the backyard space after this time is permitted, as long as the noise level is kept to a low level.
Another thing to note is that are is a security camera facing the driveway at the front entrance of the house.
There are other cameras from the homes previous owners that are out of service and not connected.
No dogs allowed due to husband's allergy.
Please note that the road leading to the house is a long and rough dirt road. A high clearance vehicle is not required, however driving slowly and carefully is recommended.
IMPORTANT NOTE for HOT TUB
To protect your own health, safety, and the integrity of tub and linens, and to ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of our facilities all guests must shower before and after using hot tub.
• We kindly request all guests to rinse their feet, bodily oils, and lotions before entering the hot tub and area. Failure to do so may result in the accumulation of dirt, debris, and contaminants in the water, which can compromise the overall experience for all users.
• The hot tub is a plug and play, which means it takes about 24 hours to fully heat. We leave the temp set at 103 and have strict rules asking guests to do the same to avoid losing heat for the next group.
• There will be a fee charged if guests turn off or lower the heat of the hot tub significantly, as this will make it unusable for our incoming guests.
• The pool man comes every Monday morning to adjust the chemicals and clean the spa, and the house keeper adjust chemicals throughout the week as well.
• When staying at the property for several days, the hot tub becomes the responsibility of the guests: lid must be kept on when not in use (we use several rocks on top to avoid desert winds blowing it off) jets and lights must be turned off, hot tub is not to be turned down or off etc. and temp must be set at 103 (never below 98) at all times.
• If failure to do any of these results in the hot tub not being hot for the remainder of your stay, we are not liable and will not offer discounts or compensation.
• No pets of any kind or size in hot tub.
• Alcohol is not allowed near the hot tub.
• Please do not stand or sit on hot tub.
• Children must be supervised at all times.
• Please leave spa covers on and secured after use. Spa cover is for insulation only and is not designed to support weight.
Please be advised that if the condition of the hot tub is left in poor conditions due to guests not rinsing their body and feet, an additional fee may be charged for excessive dirtiness. This fee will cover the cost of the necessary cleaning and maintenance required to restore the hot tub to its optimal condition.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a clean and enjoyable environment for all guests. By adhering to this requirement, we can ensure that everyone can fully enjoy the benefits of our hot tub facilities.
* Please be aware that parties and large gatherings are strictly prohibited in this house. We prioritize the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all our guests, as well as our neighbors. We kindly request that you respect this policy during your stay. Failure to do so, will result in a $500 fine for guests.
* Additionally, any late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee.

Morongo Valley is a quiet and quaint town centrally located between Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. The property is in a private secluded setting with gorgeous views of the mountains. Minutes away is Big Morongo Preserve, famous for its array of bird species and wildlife/trails. There is a cafe and a bar in the small downtown area for dining needs as well as a fruit market and the Cactus Mart, a gardening/gift shop and art gallery. 10 minutes away in Yucca valley you will find grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping. Desert Hot Springs is a 15 minute drive and is home to an assortment of natural mineral spa resorts. The neighborhood is quiet and rural, and we ask that guests are respectful of the 10pm quiet time and lower the noise level after this time. Guests have access to the entire property, including the studio.
The ranchette is a beautiful comfortable space, with everything on hand that you need to make your trip enjoyable. The main house features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms plus there is a detached studio that is newly remodeled with private entrance, kitchen and bathroom complete with deluxe bathtub.
The art/yoga studio is an additional space in the house to enjoy, as well as the multiple outdoor seating areas.
The 6 seater hot tub is a great place to enjoy the desert night sky.
You will need a car to get around Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, and the surrounding area.
