4 Bedroom Cottage with Pool, Balcony and Bedding
Fairways East is a luxurious cottage providing accommodation for up to 8 guests in 4 en-suite bedrooms. It can also be booked with its sister cottage Fairways West for groups of up to 16 (cottages are linked by internal double-doors).
Recently redecorated to create a modern contemporary feel, all the rooms are bright and spacious. To the rear of the cottage there is a lovely private patio ideal for enjoying an alfresco meal or a lazy breakfast in the morning sunshine. The cottage, which is south facing also has a large garden mainly laid to lawn and perfect for children to roam freely in safety.
The house itself has 4 spacious en-suite bedrooms, three with zip and link beds allowing them to be set up as either a double or a twin depending on guests requirements. Two of the bedrooms are also located on the ground floor of the property making them ideal for less able guests or those looking for a little more peace and quiet. Of the four en-suite bathrooms, two have a bath with shower over-head, one (located on the ground floor) is a shower room, and the other with the Master Bedroom is fitted with a bath and separate walk-in shower.
Fairways East has a wonderful country kitchen, which is well equipped with a classic Rayburn, a dishwasher, an electric cooker/hob and an American style fridge/freezer with large pull-out drawer. Past the kitchen is a gorgeous dining area with large table with ample space to seat all the family.
The living room is situated within the house's beautiful conservatory, which is fully heated and basks in sunlight during the day. The conservatory has large comfy sofas and armchairs, as well as TV. From here doors open directly onto the garden.
Outside the garden is immaculate and ideal for children to play in safely. There are garden chairs and tables, and a BBQ, so perfect for evening meals overlooking the lovely countryside. The garden can be accessed either via the back door or from the living room.
As the house is on the edge of the Highbullen golf course it is ideal for a golf party, but the hotel also has wonderful leisure facilities including a 20m indoor heated swimming pool and all weather tennis courts. All of the leisure facilities located onsite are available to guests staying at Fairways East and many are included in the price.
Nearby there is the quaint North Devon village of Chittlehamholt, which has a good dog friendly pub, and a few miles further on is Chittlehampton, which has a medieval church and an award winning pub.
The market town of South Molton is not far and the stunning beaches on the North Devon coast are about a half hour drive away and provide great surfing, there are also a few quiet coves ideal for small children. Exmoor is around a 30-minute drive and Exeter an hour away. The fishing village of Appledore is not far and full of pretty art and craft shops. Across from Appledore is Instow another pretty estuary village with great pubs and restaurants. There really is no shortage of places to visit when staying at Fairways East.
