The Main House features a dramatic Great Room with a full wall of windows that maximize the stunning water views -- plus a wood-burning fireplace set into a full wall of hand-cut fieldstone with recessed shelves. The vaulted ceilings are highlighted with antique rough-hewn beams and other stylish details include random width/length White Oak hardwood floors, custom wainscoting, Nickle Gap paneling, oil rubbed bronze hardware . . . all creating a truly beautiful aesthetic.
The Cook's Kitchen features a center island with ample counter seating, stone countertops, and stainless appliances, pantry, plus a separate Dining and Lounge Area nearby with custom built-ins. The Great Room opens out to a spacious covered porch plus a large screened porch with sofa seating, dining table, and large stone fireplace -- perfect for alfresco summer meals and relaxing days enjoying the spectacular setting and views.
There are a total of four bedrooms, including a gorgeous owner's suite with water views, walk-in closet, and en suite bath, plus there is a detached private bedroom suite with vaulted ceilings, en suite bath, and Kitchenette with coffee machine and mini-refrigerator.
The new heated saltwater plunge pool is 10 by 20-feet, with a maximum depth of 4.5-feet. The pool has an anthracite and black pebble finish, and also features a sun shelf. There is a bluestone patio for sun lounging, as well as a new Pool House with a glass panel wall that opens out to the pool area. Inside there are couches and chairs, a large screen TV, Kitchen area with a refrigerator drawers and dishwasher, and a new half bath, plus Sonos sound system.
The Compound offers easy access to the Atlantic South Shore beaches by motorboat and the location is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding. There is also abundant birdlife with swans, osprey, herons, and bluebirds putting on a daily show for your pleasure. A very up-Island lifestyle just a couple of miles from downtown Edgartown Village.
POOL NOTE: Pool is heated to 81 degrees and included in the rent for July and August. There is a pool heat surcharge at other times if the pool is open. Please inquire.
