Lovely 5 Bedroom, 3 1/2 Bath glass walled executive home on an acre lot, with gorgeous views through large oaks, huge open-up glass walled living-dining room with baby grand piano and indoor garden, pond, waterfall; family room, 3 fireplaces.
There is a beautiful Gourmet chef's kitchen with top of the line appliances. Los Gatos also has many varied restaurants, and Doordash and Uber are available also.
Spa with 240 degree views, complete privacy, outdoor pond and stream. 4 patios, grill, heater and fire pit for outdoor dining.
We've been immensely fortunate to have this as our primary residence for many years. It is a mid-century modern, glass walled, Eichler-like, designed to merge inside and outside, easy and wonderful to live in and completely updated. We love living here, and genuinely enjoy having others enjoy it when we're gone.
Travel has always been a high priority for us. So the house is full of travel artifacts, Asian antiques, and nice furniture. (Please enjoy them gently.) Now we rent the house whenever we travel, which is often. In fact, if you would like to rent during a time blocked out on our calendar, please feel free to request what you would like, and we will accomodate you if we can. Maybe we can be talked into going somewhere then :-)
Please let us know the maximum number of people who will be staying during your visit (and if you will have others visiting who will not sleep here, although we don't necessarily charge for that) . We do not charge for children under 2.
The master bedroom is huge, with a Cal-King bed, fireplace and large, lovely marble master bath with jacuzzi tub and separate double shower.
All mattresses are very comfortable.
There are 2 good sized bedrooms in the same direction as the master bedroom. One has a queen bed, and one has a trundle bed (2 twins or a King) and a nice desk. There is also an elliptical machine if you can tear yourself from the views!
There is a large bathroom and a powder room near those 2 bedrooms as well.
Down 2 steps in another direction are 2 more bedrooms. One is small, has bunk beds, and a desk and printer. That bedroom does not have a functioning closet. You go through it to get to the french door bedroom. There is a full bathroom between those 2 bedrooms. Great for parents with kids; less stellar for co-workers.
We lock the large closet in the master bedroom, and try to put anything we'd be heartbroken if something happened to it in there. There is an Armoire for your folding clothes, and a rack for hanging clothes. There is also a locked closet in the bunkbed room, and several locked cabinets.
This is a very special place. It is on top of a small hill, with complete privacy, but only a few minutes to downtown Los Gatos, you have 240 degree panoramic views of most of the SF Bay area. Many of the walls are glass, and there are 11 skylights.
You or your whole family or pod can work / study with plenty of space, quiet and privacy, and Xfinity and Google Nest wifi.
It's even better when you are done work and school. Gorgeous views and outdoor spaces, and uncrowded walks or bike rides right from the door. We even have 2 Dyson air purifiers with air quality monitors and air-conditioning.
It's always been great for a romantic getaway, family get-together, group of friends, business retreat, or a hacker project. (Sorry, no parties) But now we're only accepting 31 day and longer stays. Better for the pandemic, and avoids Los Gatos' short term rental restrictions and 12% tax. We offer a 57% discount for month and longer stays.
