When you walk out to the back patio you will be dazzled by the lush landscape of palm trees and the gardens. Lay out on a chaise lounges and soak up the scenery or gather around with ample patio seating. For families or groups, we have a BBQ and ping pong table along with plenty of space for outdoor games! Summary: This place is magical! The property is gorgeous and feels secluded. The master suite is unreal. It has incredible light and feels so open and incredible. It almost feels like you're in Tuscany or somewhere in Europe. I would 100% stay here again with three other couples for a beautiful Ojai long weekend. I think it's important to note some of the cons just to consider when booking, but I truly can't speak highly enough about this place. I will definitely rent it again. I want to go back. There are some ways the property could be improved. - Not a negative, but just noting... The property feels like it is fenced in but it's actually not at all. Yes, it has an automatic gate where you enter, but it's open through hedges or trees on all sides. - The outdoor furniture looks a little worn and could use new cushions. Just a little cobwebby and a refresh would elevate it. - The living room is huge and the furniture doesn't really fill the space effectively. Everything is so far away from each other with a tiny coffee table and small TV on the wall. For a big group home, you want to have some space you could all snuggle up for a movie night or to play games, but the coffee table is too far from all the furniture and the TV is too small for the room. Maybe a TV projector for the wall? There is only a TV in the master bedroom so for people that want to watch some TV, they're missing a relaxing space for that. - The kitchen could use better organization and a better array of supplies. Cooking dinner was a little tough because some pretty normal things were missing or not organized in a way that made them easy to find. - Yes, you could fit 16-17 people in this house, but three of the bedrooms are a bit of a stretch. I would say you can do 8-12 comfortably. The second bedroom on the second floor has to either use the master bathroom (through the master bedroom) or use bathrooms downstairs. There are two bedrooms that are actually a converted one-car garage and mudroom. I'm sure some tweens wouldn't care staying in there, but if you had a big group of adults, I'd be so mad if I got stuck with those two bedrooms.
