Upon entering the apartment, you’ll be welcomed into a bright and stylish space. With clean walls and plush carpets throughout, The Normanby is a breath of fresh air.
The open plan living, dining and kitchen area is spacious and light. Kick back and relax after a long day of exploring the coast. Switch on the flat screen TV to catch up on your favourite shows or take some time out with a good book.
In front of the huge bay window, you’ll find the dining area. The light wood dining table and chairs fit the minimalist style of the apartment. Enjoy breakfasts after lazy mornings and delicious evening meals with your loved one.
The kitchen is modern and well-equipped. With an oven, fridge, toaster, kettle, washing machine, microwave and coffee machine – you’ll have everything you need for your stay. You can even make yourself a fresh coffee to start your day!
The bedroom is a tranquil haven with a comfy king-size bed and stylish furnishings. Pops of dusky pink work perfectly in the room and the feather-like ceiling light is an elegant addition. The room is complete with a dressing table and mirror.

The Neighborhood:
Set on the West side of Whitby, The Normanby is just a short walk from the central Flowergate. Find cosy pubs, fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants on Pier Road. Venture along the lively road and you’ll reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts. At the other end of Pier Road, you’ll find the swing bridge which sits over the River Esk.
On the opposite side of the bridge is the East bank. This side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary.
Getting Around:
The centre of Whitby is a short ten-minute walk from The Normanby. Whitby train station is less than half a mile away on foot so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station. There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
