This rustic stone cottage, with lots of original features, sits in an idyllic rural setting with views of nearby meadows and Hadrian’s Wall and is perfect for exploring the local area. Head out from the front door on a beautiful and fascinating walk along Hadrian’s Wall Path, which passes by the cottage, or explore the area by bike on ‘The Roman Way’ cycle route close by. Learn about Roman culture at the visitor centre at Birdoswald, once significant base for 1000 Roman soldiers, just 4 miles from the property. Spend the day at the vast boating lake and grounds of Talkin Tarn Country Park, 4 miles away near Brampton, where you can try windsurfing, canoeing, or rowing, visit the tearoom and gift shop, and go for a pretty woodland stroll.
