Positive: Very clean, cozy, and recently renovated old house, which very comfortably hosted 5 adults for a weekend. The bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. There is enough comfortable sitting area in the dining room and in the living room. The kitchen is very well equipped, while the small balcony also includes an electric bbq grill. The house is located in the quiet little village of Kesten which offers several wineries/wine-bars/wine-shops within walking distance, while Bernkastel-Kues is only 15 minutes away by car.
Negative: Although the house has been recently renovated and is overall tastefully decorated, there is some dated furniture and decor here and there. The balcony is small and barely fits a small table with 4 chairs (and the bbq grill). Additionally, the several narrow staircases and low doorways inside the house can be a bit frustrating.
Summary: A perfect base to tour the Mosel at a very decent price
