Positive: First of all Kostas is a great host. Always on hand if and when required and arranges a cleaner every 3-4 days or your stay to keep on top of the pool and anything around the house which is a nice touch. He gave us a ton of recommendations in and around Rethymno which was helpful too. Also big plus was he arranged a taxi at short notice to go to Sfakia (south of the island) and back at cheaper prices than the local taxi firms had quoted. The villa is even better than pictured if you can believe it with some changes outside for the better in my opinion. We stayed as a group of 4 (2 couples) and it suited us perfectly. The outside area is great, we chilled out, drank and ate bbq on multiple days as you get the sun all day! Inside is also super nice with the kitchen being recently renovated too with espresso machine, excellent oven and stove and everything else toaster, grill etc.. The town is only 10 min walk to get a nice coffee in the morning or to some of the nearby restaurants though is up and down the hill.
Negative: Loved everything. Would recommend to get a car especially if you plan on eating at the villa as getting food and drinks from the supermarket and walking up the hill multiple times wouldn’t be ideal. Taxis are also available though, they can take a little long sometimes though as they don’t seem to know where the villa is.
