This is the perfect hidden getaway for family or a group of friends. Located on the southwest side of Colorado Springs, and a neighbor to Cheyenne Mountain State Park, this home is perfect those those wanting great views and amazing access to some of the best hiking and outdoor recreation in the city.
This a 4 bed, 4 bath home has plenty of space, and even more space outside to sit back and enjoy the view of the mountains, or watch the city light up with a perfect vantage point to downtown Colorado Springs. Take in the views on any of several decks, or relax in the hot tub after a day of hiking, biking or kayaking.
The Space:
Four bedrooms include the master bedroom on the main level (king bed) with a three-quarter attached bath, a there is a second bedroom also on the main level with a queen bed with private access to the full bath on this floor. Downstairs, there are two more bedrooms perfect for the kids. One bedroom has a queen and two twin bunk beds and is adjacent to a three-quarter bath. The second bedroom has a queen, a twin and a two full bunk beds; this bedroom has a private three-quarter bath.
You'll also find two living rooms, the downstairs living room complete with projector screen for a private movie theater experience! On the main level, kick back next to either of two fireplaces - one in the living room near the kitchen, and the other in the small sitting area near the entrance to the house. On the top level is a game room with a pool table and shuffleboard, and access to an outdoor sitting area and the perfect view of downtown Colorado Springs.
Outside, enjoy a large, wrap around deck with a grill, a spacious yard with direct access to Cheyenne Mountain State Park, and a relaxing hot tub.
There is a private driveway with plenty of space for multiple vehicles and trailers with toys!
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the whole house. A few closets may be locked for owner's personal storage. The garage will not be available.
The Neighborhood:
The home is tucked into the hills surrounding Cheyenne Mountain State Park. You can walk out the back door and into the park. While neighbors aren't necessarily close, they are nearby. We ask that you respect the neighbors and neighborhood when visiting.
While you'll feel really secluded here, you're not far from most area attractions and only about 20 minutes to downtown, Old Colorado City or Manitou Springs.
Getting Around:
You will want your own vehicle. In the winter, 4WD or chains for your tires is necessary.
Other Things to Note:
There is no internet access at the home. Cell service is limited.
There is no cable or satellite TV at the home. The theater room has a DVD player and a few DVDs to choose from. The upstairs TV has an HDMI cable--you can bring the DVD player up from the theater room, or you can bring an HDMI device like a laptop if you wish to use this TV.
Pets: Up to 3 dogs are allowed with prior approval and pet fee of $50/day.
There is a trampoline in the yard. Guests use the trampoline at their own risk. Children need to be supervised on the trampoline at all times.
