Summary: We just returned from 8 nights at Villa Allamanda from June 4 - June 12, 2025. The house is as beautiful in person as the gorgeous pictures online. The view is spectacular, and we got up at sunrise every morning to watch for wildlife and listen to the birds and howler monkeys. The pool and hot tub were well-maintained and made us feel like we had our own private resort. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed so we could cook breakfast each morning and the occasional lunch or dinner. Playa Ocotal was the closest beach at only a 5 minute drive down the hill and very easy to get to from the house. The sand is mostly black with some tan mixed in, and the water was crystal clear and the perfect temperature. We snorkeled most days by the rocks on both sides of the beach and saw a huge variety of colorful fish, so bring your gear if you like to snorkel. There are foldable lawn chairs (not reclining), a cooler and a few sand toys at the house. There are 2 blue foam pool floats that you can lay on in the pool but no noodles or inflatable tubes, so you might consider bringing some or buying them nearby in Coco. There are plenty of every type of towel. Each bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, and a hair dryer. Showers are hot with great water pressure. A few of the beds are very firm. The road to the house is very steep, curvy, & narrow, so small 4WD SUV is best to rent. Lissa with Zindis was wonderful and so helpful. Ready to return! Pura Vida!
