Welcome to the Strathcona Guest House! This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Enjoy the gorgeous view of Kootenay Lake, and Elephant Mountain from the private patio of this stylish 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom upper level suite. It is conveniently located 1 block from historic Baker Street. A few short steps away from restaurants, breweries, pubs, shopping, the beach, parks, the museum, the recreation centre, and more! Adventures and experiences await you!
The space
The suite is stylish, cozy, and superbly located. Enjoy your morning coffee and the spectacular mountain/lake view on the private deck.
Comfortably sleeps up to 4 adults and there is a twin bunk bed for children. The bedrooms each have their own closet, one bedroom has a queen size-bed, the other room has a queen-sized bed and twin-size bunk beds. The twin bunks are not suitable for adults.
The kitchen is fully stocked, and there is free in-suite laundry. The washer and dryer are located in the bathroom.
Enjoy free Wi-Fi and the large Smart TV in the living room, you can login to your own Netflix, Prime (etc.) accounts.
A spacious secure outdoor storage shed is available for bikes, ski gear etc. Please do not bring bikes or skis into the house.
Suite has A/C for the summer months to stay cool.

Only 1 pantry closet will be off limits. Thank you for respecting this privacy.
There are stairs down to Victoria Street, use at your own risk.

Nelson is a paradise for everything outdoors… mountain biking, skiing, hiking, climbing boating, fishing and golfing.
The Strathcona Guest House is located a short 20-minute drive to Whitewater Ski Hill, and a 45 minute drive to Ainsworth Hot Springs. Kokanee Creek Provincial Park has awesome hiking and mountain biking trails is just 20 mins away. Check out the local parks… Lakeside, Gyro and Lions or the Great Northern Rail Trail that runs between the Village of Salmo (south) and the City of Nelson.The Nelson & District Community complex (NDCC) is a short walk and has a pool, arena and gym.
Come and enjoy the unique charm of Nelson’s arts community- browse the local shops, library, museum, and cafes. In the summer the farmers market is every Wednesday and Saturday.
