The unit is separate from a larger, chalet-style house on the same property. It includes an outdoor dining area and shared access to a grassy lawn + 5 acres of woodlands. 8 miles to skiing and zip lining at Catamount Mountain. 1 mile to trout fishing in the Green River. Close to Great Barrington, Tanglewood, Hudson and worlds of fine dining.
The space
The loft is accessed via a small enclosed entry room, off of which is a door to the upstairs that's locked with a keyless lock. Ascend a short flight of stairs and you arrive in a spacious open concept living, dining and kitchen area with TV, skylights, closets and a cozy wood stove. The slip covered sofa has a pull-out mattress large enough for a small child (but not another adult). The kitchen has a good-sized island, stove, frig, sink, microwave + plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, utensils and a pantry closet. Dine either at the island or at a small round wooden table with 3 chairs. To the left is an inviting bedroom with a queen sized bed, table, lamp, closet and skylight . Bedding includes all linens and towels, cotton blanket in the summer and down comforter for the rest of the year. The full bathroom with a shower has another skylight. Heat in the loft is electric.
When it's not rented, the owner stays in this unit from time to time. It is well furnished and appointed .
