Bask in the sunlit space with views of the water from every angle, then walk to the beach. If dates seem unavailable, check with me before giving up. The delightful design features Dutch doors, skylights, window boxes, wide plank wood floors, a river rock fireplace, skylights, and french doors. The entire space is light and bright with an exposed wood beam ceiling and windows everywhere. Some shared outdoor amenities include laundry and barbecue.

No extra guests, no loud music, no parties, no smoking anywhere on the property, even the decks. If this won't work for you, please save aggravation and book elsewhere.
You can walk or bike everywhere, (but 1-car parking is included) as well as brand new HDTV, Hi-speed WIFI internet, 3 Bikes, 2 boats, beach chairs, all utilities, beach towels, linens and all kitchen utensils, plus a laundry room with washer & dryer. You seriously won't want to leave.
1 Mile to Santa Monica, 40 minutes to Disneyland, 15 minutes to Malibu, 14 mins to LAX, Great location! All furnishings brand new, beautiful, clean, light and really is as cute as I say it is!!
This is an adorable home has been totally remodeled and updated with all the modern conveniences. It even has A/C even though you only need it about 3 days a year. Most of the time you simply open the many windows and the french doors to let in the ocean breezes since we are only 1.5 blocks from the beach. Outside your back door you step onto a furnished deck and below that is one of the many walkways that allow you access to the entire canal neighborhood. There's even a small playground for kids on the canals. It may sleep 6 but it doesn't feel cramped since it's got a very open floor-plan with high ceilings, lots of natural light due to the skylights and lots of windows. From almost every angle of the cottage you have a view to the water and the canal, plus you are super close to the beach. This is a very peaceful high end residential neighborhood; many of the homes are worth over 5 million, so the quality of the surroundings is about as good as it gets for a beach-side community.
There is one separate bedroom with a King sized bed that can be closed for privacy or left open to supervise kids or just take advantage of the canal views while you sit in bed. There is a large walk in closet that can accommodate everyone's things, but under each twin daybed is more clothes storage. There is one bathroom so that might be a factor for some people. Just don't spend an eternity in there- there's no view from the bathroom anyway. Take a look at all my pics to get a better idea of the layout.
The Outdoor BBQ and eating area is shared with the other small cottage on the property. Never been a problem with sharing. You have private use of the canal side deck that is furnished with designer deck furniture from Restoration Hardware. The guests in the other cottage are allowed to access the canals by using the gate- however the deck is for your use only. You can also use our 2 boats (blue row boat, red canoe) along the Venice Canals. The boats are shared with the other cottage but again, sharing has never been a problem. You also have 3 bikes labeled for your cottage only (Big House). The smaller cottage has their own bikes. More bikes can be rented within walking distance at "Venice Bike and Skate" which is at 21 W. Washington Blvd, just steps from the sand and the Venice Pier. There is free off street parking, and free laundry right on the property.
I have an information book at the the cottage that addresses any concerns and explains all about the cottage in addition to making local suggestions. That way I can allow you privacy. However, I live very close by and am always available by cell phone so if you really prefer face to face contact, or voice contact, I can do that too.
The Venice Canals are one of LA's best kept secrets—the best part of Venice, bar none. Just 1.5 blocks from the beach and a short walk from Abbot Kinney, "One of LA's Hippest Streets," with unique galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and nightlife.
