Summary: When we arrived and walked through with the owner on Monday it was very clean, I was impressed. But, on Wednesday night I noticed a dead bug on the floor, I tried to google image it because I feared it was a cockroach, but it was small and wouldn't show results. On Friday night, we were sitting in the living area and it was dim light. Under the tv console an adult cockroach scurried across the floor, which my husband promptly squashed. I took pictures of it as well as 2 medium cockroaches under the master bed dead and 5 other small cockroaches dead. I have pictures if you want to see them. My kids were already asleep and we were checking out in the morning so we begrudgingly stayed. My husband called the owner after we checked out and asked if there was an issue before and to let him know there was a problem. He also asked if there was anything that could be done. The answer was no. He did say that the cleaners sprayed for cockroaches before we arrived. Why do you spray if you don't have a problem? 4 days after leaving I received a damage charge that there were 4 missing hand towels, a pillow and pillowcase. Along with 4 dirty washclothes that wouldn't come clean(I have kids at a beach, I'll accept that chance and will pay for them). However, the other items were not taken. And I actually threw my fav pillow/pillowcase I brought into their trash bin because I was so grossed out by the cockroaches. No refund. Beware!
