2 Bedroom Cottage with Bedding and Laundry
Charming guest cottage on 2+ beautiful wooded acres, situated on a quiet street with lovely historic homes and friendly neighbors! Walking distance to Wilson Lake, lakefront Kineowatha Park (rent kayaks, play disc golf or volleyball, or visit the sand beach!), and the town of Wilton's quaint old-fashioned Main Street. Downtown Wilton features Calzolaio Pasta Co Ambition Brewing, Mainestone Jewelry, Vera's Iron & Vine, Wilton Hardware, the Wilton Free Public Library, the Western Maine Play Museum, a Chinese restaurant, a small grocery store, post office, and more! Franklin Memorial Hospital is less than 5 miles from your door, and all that our neighboring town of Farmington has to offer (shops, dining, and the university campus) is just a 10-minute drive away. The cottage is located one hour from Sugarloaf, Saddleback, and Sunday River ski areas. We even have our own hometown ski mountain, Titcomb, with downhill terrain as well as miles of groomed crosscountry trails.
The cottage has a large, tastefully furnished primary bedroom with a full en-suite bathroom, queen bed (linens provided). dresser, walk-in closet, built-in bookshelves, wood burning fireplace, and table and chairs for working or dining.
The second bedroom or living room includes its own full en-suite bathroom and a comfy queen-size pull-out sofa that can sleep two guests. A smart TV has been provided.
A third small bedroom is currently unfurnished, but offers a convenient place for a crib or Pack-n-Play (a Nuna portable crib has been provided). This bedroom features a third full en-suite bathroom.
The kitchen was newly renovated in 2021 and features stainless steel appliances, including an electric range, new refrigerator, and a microwave. The new cabinets and butcherblock countertops highlight the enormous stainless steel sink with Kohler fixtures. The kitchen also features charming architectural details like the original 1939 upper cabinets and a gorgeous arched barn door! Essentials like a tea kettle, toaster, French press, Keurig, etc. have been provided.
Laundry is available in the basement for your convenience.
Hosts live on site (in the main house, connected to the cottage by an outdoor covered walkway) and are continuously available to welcome you and address your needs.
