Fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, plenty of space to spread out, expansive deck, and washer and dryer! The unique design of the cabin offers cozy nooks where you can watch the snow fall, tons of architectural interest for the perfect photos, and it's perched on a hill with great tree-top, mountain, and wildlife views. Spend your time stargazing from the deck, having meals with friends, or enjoying the space around the cabin which includes a large fire pit for S'mores and a great space to play in the snow during the winter. Only 30 minutes to China Peak Ski Resort! This cabin has everything you'll need for a fun family vacation.
The Space
The cabin is under new ownership and has been spruced up for your comfort! King and queen beds are located on the bottom floor, while upstairs you'll find a large bunk room with two twins over full bunk beds, comfortable for 10 guests total if 4-6 are children. Parents are advised to use caution with small children on the stairs and top bunks. Both bathrooms have been recently updated. The kitchen has been remodeled for easy access around the fireplace and maximum space for your guests. The kitchen can be tight- it's best for 2-3 chefs at a time. The showstoppers, and our favorite part of the cabin, are beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows, literally a "glass wall" to take advantage of the gorgeous wooded views during the summer, and magical snowfall during the winter. Outside there's a wrap-around deck where you'll love to lounge and breathe in the fresh mountain air. Air conditioning is provided in most of the rooms, a rarity in Shaver and a necessity during the hot summer days!
The Neighborhood
Located in the Sierra Cedars neighborhood dotted with unique and extravagant cabins, this is a prime location for leisurely walks to see the cabins, make friends with the locals, and view wildlife. Bring your own kayaks to take advantage of the neighborhood pond or head down to the first Shaver Lake parking lot where you can rent boats, SUP boards, and more, less than 10 minutes away! Plowed roads in the winter, potential boat parking in the summer! Breathe in the crisp mountain air and sip your morning coffee, or hang out with your family and friends outdoors in this family-friendly neighborhood. Five-minute drive to restaurants and shopping, and just over 30 minutes to China Peak Ski Resort!
Getting Around
We suggest using your own vehicle to get around. You are more than welcome to walk, jog, or bike around the neighborhood! 4 wheel drive and tire chains are strongly encouraged during winter months, and may be required by California Highway Patrol if there's snow in the forecast. It's not uncommon for the roads to close when there is heavy snowfall. Make sure to keep an eye on your weather forecast.

House Rules
1. Communication is key! Check-in after 4 pm. Check out by 11 am. Our office hours are between 8 am-9 pm, so please communicate between those hours and let us know if you plan to arrive after 9 pm.
2. Honesty is the best policy! Let us know about ALL guests who will be coming to the house. Maximum Occupancy is 10, and we believe 4 adults and 4-6 kids would be the most comfortable. Please keep pets off furniture and make sure to clean up after them. All animals require a one-time $100 pet fee. 2 dogs max.
3. No parties! We know this home holds a lot of people, but we still request that you respect it as if it's your own. No smoking of any kind. Removal of smoke detectors is illegal. Loud music, excessive rowdiness, excessive drinking, smoking, etc. will result in a $1,000 party fine. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am.
4. Be respectful! When using outdoor areas (patio, bbq, etc.), and other provided amenities, please clean up after yourself so the next guests can enjoy them as well. If something is wrong, low, or out, please let us know so we can fix it.
5. Have fun! Our goal is to host a vacation to remember. If you don't agree with our above rules, this is NOT the house for you, please let us know so we can find you a home that better suits your needs! We'll always do our best to make sure you have the best time!
6. Be a good neighbor! Please NEVER leave trash outside where it will attract bears and other wild animals. There is a provided dumpster for your convenience, if you need it let us know and we'll direct you to it. If you're parking on the street, park the correct way and don't block the street or others' driveways. This is a tight-knit mountain community and we all need to do our part to keep it clean and beautiful!
