A renovated Venetian era two-level home, featuring original elements, hand-made furniture, a unique design, beautiful organic deco, large outdoor spaces and gardens! Ideal for families or friends seeking to experience the original rural Cretan living in a totally peaceful, stress-free and eco-friendly environment. Located just 20min away from Chania center, close to many famous beaches and sights of Western Crete. Wifi, washer, dishwasher, barbecue available!
A two-level 100 m2 home with a unique character combining style and comfort. It can accommodate 6 persons in two bedrooms and offers two bathrooms, one on each level.
Entering the house from the front yard there is an open plan kitchen, dining room and living room. Our fully equipped kitchen provides all needed appliances plus a dishwasher. Our kitchen features unique pieces like the ‘campagnard’ wooden table or the vintage high chair both hand picked from French antiquers in Normandy.
On the first floor, there is a spacious master double bedroom with anatomic mattress, overlooking the gardens from the front balcony. The second bedroom offers one 1.30m (width) bed, bunk beds (1.20m width each) and dreamy mezzanine with (1.40m width) anatomic mattress.
Both bedrooms feature high quality mattresses and ceiling fans. On both bedroom's balcony doors, sea views can be enjoyed in the background.
The 230m2 courtyard and garden is one of the main highlights of our house. Outdoor roofed dining spaces with barbeque and kitchen facilities are available.
Private parking for two cars is available with a remote control gate. We also provide, free of charge for our guests, 6 bicycles, so you can explore the natural beauty and scenic routes of our region.

Our house is located in the peaceful Cretan village of Kontomari amidst the ever-present olive groves renowned for its high quality olive oil production.
Kontomari village is situated at 2.5 km of distance from the organised Pyrgos Psilonerou beach but also close to numerous other famous beaches. At 20 min drive from central Chania and very close to many local sights such as the ‘Monumental olive tree of Vouves’ or Rokka archeological site.
At about 2km of distance, in the town of Maleme, you can find a wide range of shops and services, ATMs, supermarkets, pharmacies, cafes, and restaurants.
Alternatively, you can also visit the popular summer resort of Platanias, at 6km, with an even larger choice of shops, restaurants, nightclubs and many more services.
The popular Falasarna sandy beach is 38km away while Kissamos Port is just 27km. Samaria Gorge is located at 40km of distance from home. At Kissamos you can take the boat to the famous Balos beach.
