Welcome to Cap's Cottage, a quaint beach cottage just steps away from the white sands of the beautiful Emerald Coast! Experience the soothing sound of ocean waves and refreshing breezes from the back patio, which also grants easy access to the pool. Within a 1-2 minute walk, you'll find several public beaches, and we provide chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels for your convenience.
At Cap's Cottage, we offer a unique and refreshing experience. You'll appreciate special touches such as soft 100% natural fiber linens, a down feather comforter, clean duvet cover, down pillows, tasteful decor, and thoughtful aspects that enhance your comfort during your stay.
The cottage consists of two separate units, and your accommodation includes the downstairs unit, along with an entryway equipped with beach towels, chairs, toys, a parking pass, and access to the pool area.
The unit resembles a studio apartment, featuring a full kitchen, dining area, queen-size bed, a newly updated bathroom, and a 50-inch flat-screen TV. Enjoy cable with movie channels and HBO, as well as a reliable WiFi connection. The spacious sliding glass doors open up to the large patio, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living.
Adjacent to the cottage is our neighborhood's private parking area, so you won't have to worry about finding a spot at the beach—you're already there! Take a short walk down a pathway to reach several public beach accesses, renowned local seafood restaurants like Camille's at Crystal Beach and the Crab Trap, and rental shops for bikes, scooters, and paddleboards. You'll also appreciate the proximity to shopping destinations such as Destin Commons, The Harborwalk Village, Grand Boulevard, Silver Sands Outlet Mall, and Baytowne Wharf, offering plenty of entertainment options during your stay.

Cap’s Cottage is nestled in Crystal Beach - specifically in the “Nantucket Cottages” - a quaint little community of pastel colored beach cottages in Destin, FL. Crystal Beach is truly a picturesque area and one of the most highly sought after areas on the Emerald Coast!
A very short walk (1-2 minutes!) down a pathway right outside the back door takes you to several public beach access points as well as some of the best seafood restaurants on the Emerald Coast.
Destin Commons is walkable and has all of your favorite stores and eateries as well as Whole Foods Market.
Take a short drive to Baytowne Wharf located along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay, within the gates of the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. It features
an array of boutiques, eateries, galleries, and nightlife. Be sure to check out their events calendar for your travel dates, as they often have a jam-packed schedule of outdoor festivals and events for the entire family!
Also, be sure to visit the heart of old Destin and the Harborwalk Village adjacent to the picturesque Crab Island. Stroll along the boardwalk of Destin's famous fishing fleet to see of the catch of the day come in!
Spend a day at the world famous Crab Island on the north side of Destin Bridge where pleasure boats gather everyday to enjoy the translucent, waist-high emerald
green waters. This area is kid friendly! If you rent a pontoon, jet ski or kayak, you can join the party of floating restaurants and huge inflated playground.
For a good bargain you can visit Silver Sands Outlet Mall just down the street!
Be sure and check out Lulu's at the foot of the Mid-Bay Bridge. Lulu is Jimmy Buffet's sister, and she has created a veritable playground for children and adults alike. Southern fare at it's best! Huge Indoor/outdoor restaurant, large sandy area on the bay with rental SUPs and kayaks, seaplane rides, kids face painting and more!

**We also host guests in the upstairs unit of this cottage. Each unit has its own coded entry with bolt locks. If you are coming in the off-season (winter) it is common that there will be no other guests there during your stay.
**Both the upstairs and downstairs units are dog-friendly, with a maximum of one dog unless prior approval has been granted. Dogs must be house trained, and puppies are not allowed. Dogs are also not permitted on the beds, and excessive barking or whining is discouraged. Please clean up after your pet if they shed or have accidents. Any additional cleaning or damage caused by dogs may result in a resolutions case being opened with Airbnb to cover the costs. If there are people in the entryway, please wait until it is clear to pass with your dog. Please also clean up after your pet to comply with our HOA regulations and avoid fines for leaving pet waste outside.
