This beautiful home has been run as a successful bed and breakfast for the past 32 yrs. The owners are retiring with their dog and will now be offering their amazing 5000 sq. foot, 6 bed, 6 bath home for you to rent by the week. Amenities include: kitchen, large dining room, living room, parlor, family room, large outdoor patio with tables and chairs, A/C, cable TV, wifi and much more. It is the perfect place to hold those family reunions. The house sleeps 15 or more people. 4 blocks to downtown, 6 blocks to the beach.15 miles to both Ludington and Silver Lake sand dunes.

Summary: Lots of things could use some improvement at Candlewyck House. -The US flag on a pole off the patio is tattered and in shreds. That is a disgrace. -We were interrupted in our family's time of honoring and grieving for my mother by TWO real estate agents who arrived with potential buyers to show the house. This was very disruptive and intrusive. -The sliding doors to the patio could not be locked and the screen came off it's track almost everytime it was opened. -Changes in floor height should be highlighted with colored tape. A 2 inch elevation change that was carpeted straight through caused two badly stubbed and one broken toe. -The booklet with rules and advice should be updated to one document. A folder with multiple sheets, and many post-it notes was left, haphazard and hard to integrate. -The stepping stones from the parking area to the patio are hazardous. Traversing them was like an agility course, not what you want to be doing with luggage and packages. -Only three dishwasher tablets were left for our 5-day stay and when we contacted the caretaker to ask if more were in the house, the reply was "I don't think so." We had been instructed to contact her for any issues, that she lived nearby and could help at any time. She did not help with this, and with a funeral and burial in Hesperia to work around, we ended up washing a lot of dishes by hand. -Despite the aforementioned issues, the house was terrific for our extended family to gather as we buried our moth
