Summary: We appreciate your numerous texts expressing apologies regarding the incompletion of the roofing project on this property which caused safety and occupancy hazards. The piles of lose shingles blew into the front and back yards, pool and left debris in the hot tub. Two of the guests with their dog had to leave the morning after arrival due to inability to sleep with shingles flying off the roof and loud periodic vibration noise in the bedrooms coming from the roof. The dog was traumatized with uncontrollable shaking, panting and drooling. Although the home and backyard is very well maintained, it is ultimately the managements responsibility to insure the property is ready and safe for guests. With the roof being left in an unsafe manner, it was not possible to use the backyard, pool or hot tub safely. This property should not have been rented with the roofing project not completed. It presents a serious liability concern for you had all those loose shingles with exposed nails struck us, the dog or our vehicles. Offering us a different home was too late as the dog was petrified of any noises for a few days afterwards. We rented this VRBO specifically for the location and the backyard a year ago. A partial refund would have been expected and appreciated.
