Only a 5-10 minute walk to the Potomac River Waterfront where you can walk/run/bike along the Mount Vernon Trail and enjoy beautiful views including The US Capital, Washington Monument and National Harbor. Enjoy live music and explore more than 200 independent restaurants, boutiques, and museums on King Street.
Getting Around:
King Street Metro Station is less than a mile away. You can walk 10 or so minutes to King Street and catch the free trolley to get there!
There are two bus stops within a 3-minute walk from the house.
There is a Capital Bikeshare rack on the corner of Franklin and Washington (next to District Taco), about a 4-minute walk from the residence.
15-minute drive to the National Mall/DC.
Guest can also walk to the Old Town Waterfront and take a water taxi to DC, or sightseeing cruise.

Summary: We had a great time. Our young family visits the area often and this has been the best VRBO we’ve stayed at so far. There were small cons- for example, we were there on very hot days and the central AC couldn’t evenly distribute the temperature but this is to be expected in an older townhome. Also of note the air handling unit is in the basement around the corner from the large bed, so it can be noisy there at night. But really, it was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to the area. Location is on a quiet street yet it is walkable to some restaurants and shops, etc. Street parking was easy, which is not the case in every Old Town neighborhood.
