About 15 miles north of Beachside Suites is the town of Newport where one can see the Oregon Coast Aquarium and 2 lighthouses. And right in the town of Waldport, the Alsea River meets the ocean. Highway 34 runs along the river. Many sightseers enjoy drives up the river.
