Accessed via a sweeping gravelled driveway, this property offers a rear enclosed garden, making it ideal for children as well as your well-behaved pet who is welcome to join you on your adventure. There is a patio area where you can soak up the sunshine, perhaps enjoy a morning coffee to start the day with an al fresco breakfast. At the top of the garden is the summerhouse with views over the large lawned garden. Stepping inside, the kitchen is fabulous with a large central island and is open plan with the dining area with a table big enough for you all to enjoy meals together. This is a haven for anyone who enjoys delighting their friends and family with lovingly made dishes, as it is spacious and incredibly well equipped, and glass doors open onto the garden. There is a spacious living room with glass doors looking out onto the garden, and a second snug lounge, perfect for enjoying a bit of peace, perhaps with a good book where you can lose yourself amongst the pages. There’s also a games room which is sure to delight younger family members, with an array of games and toys to keep them entertained. There is a handy ground floor toilet too. Up on the first floor are four beautifully presented bedrooms, a twin, a double, a spacious master bedroom with kingsize bed and an en-suite bathroom with a rainforest shower over the bath, and a double bedroom with an en suite shower. There is also a shared family bathroom on the landing.
Situated in an idyllic picture perfect village you are only 8 minutes’ walk from the artisan bakeries, traditional local pubs and award winning restaurants. Charming Thornton-le-Dale is a pure delight, old fashioned friendliness with an unhurried pace of life. The village has everything you could need, yet still retains its quaint village beauty with the chocolate box thatched cottages and historic alms houses. Only a couple of miles away is the traditional Yorkshire market town of Pickering, which combines atmospheric old inns, 12th-century castle, museum and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
