Positive: Koh Samui is a fantastic destination, but next time, I’ll definitely stay elsewhere. While the house itself is beautiful, with amazing views and a lovely swimming pool, it didn’t feel worth it overall. The apartment is old, though nicely decorated, but it lacks essential appliances. For example, there was no blender, and when we finally got one, it was broken. The house also didn’t have basic groceries like salt or olive oil, which made starting our stay a bit inconvenient. On the plus side, there was plenty of cold water, which was much needed in the hot weather.
Negative: The biggest downside was the mattress—it was incredibly hard, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. On the other hand, the area was quiet, and we enjoyed the daily visit from birds, which was a peaceful highlight. The beach, while very close, is not suitable for swimming. The water is shallow, barely reaching your ankles even after walking quite a distance. It’s better for sunbathing than anything else. We also faced some issues with the house itself. After a storm, we had a leaking problem, and the shower water stopped working properly. We had to call several times for repairs, and on the last day, we were without water until my husband fixed it himself. While the house has its charms, the overall experience fell short, and I’ll be looking for a different place for my next trip to Koh Samui.
